Comfy Booties

I found a new craft store:  Hobby Lobby.  Of course that means I had to find something to buy there. I found this cute pattern in the clearance section. The kit came with the bottom of the booties and I had to make the tops.  They took me a couple of hours and are not only cute but also comfortable.

Red Beret

This hat came from the Annie's Attic kit. It was super easy to make and took me only an our to make.  I will probably make a few more and give them as gifts.

Another baby blanket

Since it seems to be baby season again, I figured I would make some extra blankets. This is one Alan picked out for me to make. It was a simple stitch but looks really cool.   This took me about five hours to complete.

First Sewing Project

Well I purchased a sewing machine and figured pajama pants would be the best way to go for a first project.  It was a little difficult.  Between me, Alan, and the sewing for dummies book, they finally got finished.  We made a pair for each of us.

Now on to the pajama top!

Scrap Baby Blanket

Since I'm still on my journey to use all of my scrap yarn, I decided to make a baby blanket with the scrap yarn.

I've still got tons left over, so another baby blanket is on its way.

Jewelry Kits

I had 3 jewelry kits from the kit of the month club that I hadn't done.  So I figured I'd get out the plyers and the snippers this weekend and get them done.  All three projects took me about 5 hours.  The string neckalace took the longest.

ZigZag Scrap Blanket - Scrap Project #1

I've now filled a full garage cabinet with scrap yarn.   So I figured I'd better do a scrap project.  I downloaded this pattern and it turned out to be super easy and it looks gorgeous.  In the mean time, I ordered a few more magazines and books for scrap projects, so look for more of those.

Socks

So I decided to make a couple more pairs of socks, since I have a few kits and tons of patterns for them.  Here are the results:

Purple Snowflake Scarf

This scarf took a few hours.  It was fun and it turned out beautiful.  I'll probably make a few more and then give them as gifts.

Turquiose Jewelry Set

I think this was the first kit sent to me and I finally had time to make it.  Again the concepts were fairly simple and the whole kit took me about 2 hours to make.  The items are super heavy, so I probably won't wear them, but I'm sure someone else will love them.

Earrings

I decided to get caught up on all of my jewelry kits that I had.  This one was pretty fun.  I learned to make loops and create these crazy earrings.  Great practice for when I decide to finally design some really cool earrings that I'll be more likely to wear.  Each set of earrings took me about 30 minutes, so they were very easy.

Circular Baby Blanket

The Annie's Kit of the Month people must think that there are a million babies out there in need of a crocheted blanket.  I seem to have to modify the blanket kits all the time to make them larger.  My gauge is correct, but the blanket ends up being too small.  This blanket was super fast.  It took me about 5 hours.

Making Beads...

I thought this kit was going to be boring.  Just stringing beads onto a necklace and bracelet.  Boy was I wrong.  The circular beads on the necklace and the square beads on the bracelet I made.  There were empty metal, I added a cardboard design and then added clear glue that when dried made it look like a "bubbly" bead.  It was pretty awesome.  This kit isn't as cute as I would hope, but the concept was cool and I'll probably make more beads.

Love Wall Hanging

This is one of the kit's I got from the Craft of the Month club.  Most of the projects were to detail oriented for me, so I cancelled the club, but I still have a few projects left to do.  This one basically was a little bit of painting and gluing.  Not too bad.  Alan even helped me with it.

Diamond Blanket

I received this kit for Christmas as well (I think last year).  It is made up of diamonds that are then sewn together.  It was a pretty fast blanket to make (about 10 hours) and I'll probably make another one with the scrap yarn I have.

Beach Scene Pixel Mosaic

I got this craft project for Christmas.  It's another pixel mosaic.  They are really fun, but pretty expensive.  It looks great finished, now I just have to frame it.  This took me about 5 hours and it's about 10 x 13.

Leah's Table Doily

This project took me quite a while. I finished it in March, but did not have a chance to upload the picture. It's a filet crochet doily.  Leah saw it and said she wanted it, so it's tagged with her name.  It probably took me 20 - 30 hours and I had to start over when I realized I missed a stitch early on once I was half way through.

Bracelet

This is a bracelet from the Annie's Attic Jewelry Kit of the Month.  I figured since I was off for a week, I would catch up on all of my crafting. So this will be one of many posts.  This bracelet took me about an hour.  It was very simple.

Alan's Raiders Hat

So once I got finished with the MBB project, Alan decided he liked the hat.  He asked me to make him one that he could wear to the Raider's games:

Crochet Bracelets

I got this pattern and kit for Christmas.  They were super easy and fun.  Each one only took me about 4 hours to make.  I'm going to work with more bead patterns soon. :)

The MBB Project

So I'm in the Master Black Belt program at work.  During our Week 4 training, I made some hats and some people really liked them but suggested we should make them in our colors (purple, black and grey). Well I think I ended up making something like 15 hats and 10 scarves.  I even made some "real time" once I got to Week 5 of class.  It was a good thing too, not only was Kentucky SUPER COLD, but the training room we were in was also freezing.

Gina asked for one to be a little different.  And since our fearless leader didn't join us, I decided to wait until I got back to make hers:

Syracuse Booties

So I created my last few posts and then posted the link on Facebook.  A few hours later I get a post from JoAnn telling me how awesome the booties are and that they would be even better if they were in Syracuse colors and had non-slip stuff on the bottom.  I took the hint, made JoAnn her booties and sent them to her :)
